Happy Friday, Eastie!  It has been a few weeks since we posted an article, but we are back in action for the new year!  We hope everyone enjoyed their holidays and are now preparing for our first winter weekend storm that’s coming for us this weekend.. Eek!



The next parent-child playgroup will meet at the library tomorrow, January 19th, from 10-11am.

MassDOT is hosting a public meeting regarding the Sumner Tunnel project at the high school on Wednesday, January 23nd.  The meeting will start at 6:30pm.

The 23rd Annual Taste of Eastie kicks off at 6pm at the Hilton Boston Logan Airport on Thursday, January 24th.  Nearly 30 local restaurants will be featuring samples of their food.

Author Anthony Sammarco will be presenting a slide lecture at the library titled Going Shopping.  This lecture starts at 6:30pm and will highlight how downtown Boston evolved in the 19th Century to become the premier shopping district in New England.
