Weekend Events: October 27th Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! I hope everyone has a fun (and safe) Halloween weekend! If you are looking for something festive to do, there are TONS of Halloween-inspired events happening this weekend for both adults and kids. Check out below!
The next multicultural Friday film at the library is at 3pm. Showing will be PG + PG-13 movies that celebrate immigrants and countries around the world.. And popcorn will be served!
Starting at 4pm with events both tonight and tomorrow is the Fall Fiesta weekend.
From 5-7pm is the Halloween Party at the Paris St. Gym.
From 5-8pm is the Halloween Party at Maverick Landing.
Come prep for the Dia de los Muertos and attend the Pan de Muerto workshop at VRCC at 2pm.
The 1st Annual Halloween Costume Party at VRCC starts tonight at 8pm.
Starting tomorrow, October 28th, at 8am is the clothing drive and flea market that St.Vincent de Paul is hosting. It will run on Sunday as well.
From 9am-12pm First Priority Credit Union is hosting a free shredding day.
From 10am-2pm is East Boston’s first ever Climate Summit at the Umana Academy.
From 10am-5pm is the Boston Book Fest at the library.
From 12-1pm tomorrow is the next $5 community yoga class at The Point EB.
Maverick Marketplace Cafe and La Tia Smokeshop are hosting their annual Halloween Bash at the cafe starting at 7:30pm. Costumes, live music, glass blowing, etc!
The VRCC is hosting a El Dia de Los Muertos concert featuring El Gran Mitote Band starting at 8pm.
On Sunday, October 29th, is the Dia De los Muertos Parade and Fiesta hosted by the VRCC. The parade will start at 1pm at the EBSB on Bennington St, followed by the potluck from 2-4pm.
On Monday, October 23rd, the Fresh Truck Mobile Food Market will be down Maverick Square from 4-7pm.
The next learn to knit classes at the library will be from 6-7:30pm.
On Tuesday, October 31st (HALLOWEEN!!), the EVFA is hosting their 2nd Annual Halloween Parade at Brophy Park. The festivities start at 6pm.
Starting Wednesday, November 1st, and running on Wednesdays and Fridays from 9-11:30am is a new arts and crafts workshop put together by the Harborkeepers. This is open to women who would like to both help the environment and support each other at the same time!
There will be a public meeting regarding 944-946 Saratoga Street at 6:30pm at the Salesians.
The next Small Business Center workshop will be on Thursday, November 2nd, at the library. This is a high-impact training, coaching and networking opportunity for entrepreneurs. The series will be from 4-7:30pm each week.
The next yoga and running series will be from 6:45-8:45pm at The Point EB.
There will be a strength and sweat event at the DownEast Cider House from 8:30-10:15pm.
