Weekend Events: June 1st Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! June has officially arrived.. Woohoo! We have LOTS of fun events happening this weekend so check them out below.
The VRCC is hosting Paint Night tonight at 7pm.
There is a Reiki Circle class at The Point EB starting at 7:15pm.
The Guild Elementary is hosting a community day and planting celebration on Saturday, June 2nd, from 8am-1pm. This is a rain or shine event.
The 7th Annual Let’s Get Movin’ New Balance Foundation 5K for Fitness kicks off at 9am (runners arrive at 8am) at the East Boston Memorial Park.
There will be a quick neighborhood clean-up down Jeffries Point from 10-11am.
The Dante Alighieri School is hosting The Bee Hive: An Open Air Market from 10am-2pm. Shop our local artisans and bazaar for unique treasures. Enjoy fun-filled, hands-on children's activities, delish food, and lively music. Bring cash & come hungry!
NOAH's annual regatta is happening again by the Chelsea Creek Urban Wild! There will be free kayaking, food, music, games, and more! Bring your family, neighbors, and friends!
The next $5 community class at The Point EB is from 12-1pm.
Author Emem Uko will be at the library from 1-2pm giving a reading from one of her books.
The next Yu-Gi-Oh club for teens at the library is from 1-4pm.
The next food and writing workshop at the library will meet from 2:30-4:30pm.
The opening reception for Atlantic Works Gallery’s new exhibit, Discovery and Discernment, kicks off at 6pm.
There is a Party for a Cause: BIC Fundraiser at the EB Yacht Club from 7pm-12am to raise money for healthcare in Uganda.
VRCC is hosting a Sounds and Flavors of Venezuela (Sonidos y Sabores de Venezuela) event on Sunday, June 3rd, from 11am-3pm.
Renegades Pub is celebrating their anniversary! Kick off time starts at 4pm and donations will be made to the Boston Wounded Vet’s Run.
The next Fresh Truck Food (Mobile) Market will be down Maverick Square from 3-6pm on Monday, June 4th.
The library is hosting a Translation and Social Justice / Traducción y justicia social workshop from 6-7:30pm.
HVNA’s monthly meeting will be at 6:30pm at their new location, Brooke Charter School.
The next ESL and computer skills class for BPS parents is at the YMCA from 10am-12:30pm on Tuesday, June 5th. This will also meet on Wednesday.
The next Recycled Art Workshop is from 11am-1pm.
The next Eliot School Tinkering and Inventions Program will be at the library at 4pm. This is a problem-solving program for children ages 7-10.
The next East Boston YMCA art class for kids ages 6-12 will meet from 4-5pm on Wednesday, May 30th.
The EBNHC is hosting their 6th Annual Art of Health Care event from 5-8pm. The evening includes a reception, silent auction, and guided art tours.
VRCC is hosting their 1st Arts Jamluck from 7-10pm.
The next Wednesday night Zumba class at the Marty Pino Gym will run from 6:30-7:30pm.
The next computer training workshop for teens will meet on Thursday, June 7th, at the EBSC. This will run from 4-6pm and teens ages 17-20 are welcome to attend.
The next Namastay Sober community class will run from 5:15-6:15pm at The Point EB.
The next Power of Parenting Workshop begins at 5:30pm at the EBSC. This is aimed for parents who have children ages birth-3 years.
Harborside Bar + Grill is hosting their first patio party of the 2018 season: Uno, Dos, Tres-Sangria! This will be from 6-9pm and tickets must be purchased
There will be a lecture at the library from 6:30-7:30pm focusing on legendary locals of East Boston.
