Weekend Events: June 22nd Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! Summer has officially arrived which means school is out next week.. Ahhh! We have lots of awesome Summer events happening over the next few months. Keep checking the website to see what gets added weekly. For now, take a look at this week’s events!
The Fair Foods $2 Bags of Produce will be available at the EBNHC from 2:30-4pm. Remember, this is a first-come, first-serve, CASH ONLY event.
Jeffries Point residents are hosting a community yard sale event on both Saturday and Sunday this weekend. Click the link to check out the addresses involved.
The next shoreline clean-up with be from 10-11am at the Condor Street Urban Wild.
The next $5 community class at The Point EB is from 12-1pm.
The next Yu-Gi-Oh club for teens at the library is from 1-4pm.
The next food and writing workshop at the library will meet from 2:30-4:30pm.
The next Fresh Truck Food (Mobile) Market will be down Maverick Square from 3-6pm on Monday, June 25th.
GSCA’s monthly meeting will be from 6:30-8:30pm at the Catherine Leonard-McLean Community Room.
The next Recycled Art Workshop is from 11am-1pm on Tuesday, June 26th.
There is a free community preparedness workshop at Shore Plaza from 10:30am-12:30pm.
The Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series is hosting weekly Zumba classes down Lopresti Park starting Wednesday, June 27th, at 6pm.
The next Wednesday night Zumba class at the Marty Pino Gym will run from 6:30-7:30pm.
The next computer training workshop for teens will meet at the EBSC on Thursday, June 28th. This will run from 4-6pm and teens ages 17-20 are welcome to attend.
The next Namastay Sober community class will run from 5:15-6:15pm at The Point EB.
The next Power of Parenting Workshop begins at 5:30pm at the EBSC. This is aimed for parents who have children ages birth-3 years.
NSMHA is hosting their annual Summer Sail fundraiser starting at 5:30pm down by Piers Park Sailing Center. The event will be featuring live music, hors d'oeuvres and refreshments, sailboat rides in Boston Harbor and silent auctions.
There is an Impact Advisory Group meeting regarding 144 Addison Street from 6-8pm at the Marty Pino Gym.
There is quick clean-up down Jeffries Point from 6:30-7:30pm.
The current Atlantic Works Gallery exhibit, Discovery and Discernment, is opening for viewing until the end of the month.
