Weekend Events: June 29th Edition


Happy Friday, Eastie!  School is FINALLY out for summer and July 4th is just a few days away!  We are laying out events that are happening over the next two weeks because we are on vacation next week.. Yippie!

There is a quick clean-up at Brophy Park tonight at 5pm.


Following the clean-up, NOAH is hosting their first summer movie night at 8:15pm.  They will be showing Kiki’s Delivery Service. Popcorn will be provided!


Due to last night’s weather, NSMHA’s Summer Sail has been rescheduled to tonight.


First Priority Credit Union is hosting a summer kick-off event from 11am-1pm on Saturday, June 30th.  There will be a visit from the ice cream truck, games, face painting, and more!


The next $5 community class at The Point EB is from 12-1pm.  This will meet again on July 7th.


VRCC is hosting their first Uniting Borders Multicultural Festival from 12-8pm at Suffolk Downs.


The next Yu-Gi-Oh club for teens at the library is from 1-4pm.  This will meet again July 7th.


The library is hosting a community potluck starting at 2:30pm.


Church at the Well is hosting a movie night at Bremen Street Park starting at 8pm.  They will be showing CoCo.


Maverick Marketplace Cafe is hosting their monthly comedy night starting at 8pm on Sunday, July 1st.


The next Fresh Truck Food (Mobile) Market will be down Maverick Square from 3-6pm on Monday, July 2nd.  This will return on July 9th.


The next Recycled Art Workshop is from 11am-1pm on Tuesday, July 3rd.  This will meet again on July 10th.


The Boston Parks Summer Fitness Series’ next Zumba class down Lopresti Park is on Wednesday, July 4th, at 6pm.  This will meet again on July 11th.


The next Wednesday night Zumba class at the Marty Pino Gym will run from 6:30-7:30pm.  This will meet again on July 11th.


Free kayaking at Constitution Beach kicks off on Thursday, July 5th, from 11am-5pm.  Kayaks will be available for rent on Thursdays-Sundays through the end of August.


The City Hall To-Go Cart will be at the library from 12-2pm.


The next computer training workshop for teens will meet at the EBSC.  This will run from 4-6pm and teens ages 17-20 are welcome to attend. This will meet again on July 12th.


The next Namastay Sober community class will run from 5:15-6:15pm at The Point EB.  This will meet again on July 12th.


The next Power of Parenting Workshop begins at 5:30pm at the EBSC.  This is aimed for parents who have children ages birth-3 years. This will meet again on July 12th.


The Fair Foods $2 Bags of Produce will be available at the EBNHC from 2:30-4pm on Friday, July 6th.  Remember, this is a first-come, first-serve, CASH ONLY event.


Free summer meals for kids and teens under 18 kicks off at the East Boston Farmers Market on Wednesday, July 11th.  Meals will be available from 4-5pm every Wednesday during the summer.


There is a networking event for real estate services on Thursday, July 12th, from 6-8pm at The Eddy.


Harborkeepers is hosting a Marine Science and Maritime Festival at Constitution Beach from 11am-3pm on Saturday, July 14th.  There will be lots of great activities, food, music, and more!


ZUMIX is hosting their 2nd Open Mic for teens from 5-8pm.


Following that, ZUMIX is hosting a film viewing made by an Eastie filmmaker.


On Sunday, July 15th, there will be a yoga session at Piers Park from 10-11am.



The current Atlantic Works Gallery exhibit, Discovery and Discernment, is opening for viewing until the end of the month.
