Weekend Events: May 4th Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! May is here and it seems to have brought summer with it! I can’t decide if I’m loving it or hating it ahh. We have some fun events happenings this weekend - take a look below.
The EVFA is hosting a mom’s movie night out tonight in town at 7pm.
There is a bird watching walk at Belle Isle Marsh tomorrow morning, May 5th, at 8am.
The next shore line clean-up is from 10-11am on Bayswater Street.
There is a walking tour in the Belmont area of Jeffries Point starting at 11am.
The next $5 community class at The Point EB is from 12-1pm.
The next Yu-Gi-Oh club for teens at the library is from 1-4pm.
Cunard Tavern is hosting a Kentucky Derby party from 3-7pm. Put on your best derby attire and you might win a prize!
Harbor City School is hosting their annual fun’raiser and silent auction at the OHYC from 7-11pm.
There is a Reiki Circle at The Point EB on Sunday, May 6th, from 2-3pm.
Following the Reiki Circle, there is a Anu Flow class from 3:30-5:30pm.
Central Park Lanes is hosting a Strike Out Muscular Dystrophy Charity Event from 6-8pm.
The East Boston Kids Pop-Up Choir will meet at the library on Monday, May 7th, from 5-6pm. They will also meet on Thursday of next week.
There is a free community dance workshop series kicking off at the Paris St Gym from 5-6pm. This will run weekly through May.
HVNA’s monthly meeting is at 7pm.
Recycled Art Workshop is back! This will meet every Tuesday starting May 8th from 11am-1pm.
The next ESL and computer skills class for BPS parents is at the YMCA from 10am-12:30pm. This will also meet on Wednesday.
The next Eliot School Tinkering and Inventions Program will be at the library at 4pm. This is a problem-solving program for children ages 7-10.
There is a community panel discussion regarding Massport at 5:30pm.
The next Tech Goes Home class will meet from 6-8pm.
The next Cunard Tavern Beer (Cider) Dinner kicks off at 6pm.
The next East Boston YMCA art class for kids ages 6-12 will meet on Wednesday, May 9th, from 4-5pm.
The next Wednesday night Zumba class at the Marty Pino Gym will run from 6:30-7:30pm.
The EVFA is hosting their next new mom’s breakfast Thursday, May 10th, from 10am-12pm.
The next Namastay Sober community class will run from 5:15-6:15pm at The Point EB.
The next Power of Parenting Workshop begins at 5:30pm at the EBSC. This is aimed for parents who have children ages birth-3 years.
Atlantic Works Gallery’s new exhibit, The Revolution Will Not Be, is on display during the month of May. Go check it during visiting hours, 6-9pm!
