Weekend Events: November 2nd Edition
Happy Friday, Eastie! I hope everyone has recovered from a candy-overloaded Halloween. Halloween night was super fun here in Eastie! It’s so nice to see the community coming together in celebration.

The Fair Foods $2 Bags of Produce will be available at the EBNHC from 2:30-4pm today. Remember, this is a first-come, first-serve, CASH ONLY event.
Tonight from 7-9pm there is a memorial mass at the Salesians Boys & Girls Club to honor deceased Savio alumni.
The Don’t Be Denied band is hosting a free concert to benefit ZUMIX (at ZUMIX). The event kicks off at 8pm.
The library is celebrating their 5th anniversary on Saturday, November 3rd, from 11am-12pm. There will be a special performance by Jungle Jim.
The next $5 community class at The Point EB is from 12-1pm.
The next Yu-Gi-Oh club for teens at the library is from 1-4pm on Saturday, October 6th.
The Hipster Olympics are kicking off at 1pm at KO Pies.
VRCC is hosting their 3rd Annual Dia de Muertos Festival and Parade from 2-7pm.
The library is hosting a slide lecture by Anthony Sammarco from 3-4pm.
There will be Tea & Talk on the Greenway from 3-6pm. Enjoy music while sipping tea and talking with your Eastie neighbors! This event will run weekly through November.
Maverick Marketplace Cafe is hosting their monthly comedy show on Sunday, November 4th, from 8-9pm.
The next Fresh Truck Food (Mobile) Market will be down Maverick Square from 3-6pm on Monday, November 5th.
The library is hosting a Meet Julia Child event from 6-7:30pm.
HVNA’s monthly meeting is at 6:30pm at the Brooke Charter School.
The next Power of Parenting workshop at the EBSC is from 10am-12pm on Tuesday, November 6th. Parents of children ages 3-8 are welcome to come together with other local parents to learn new and fun ways to support your child's learning and growth!
The next Recycled Art Workshop is from 11am-1pm.
The next tech workshop, Technology Goes Home (and to work), kicks off at 6pm at Maverick Landing. This will run for eight weeks.
The next Wednesday night Zumba class at the Marty Pino Gym will run from 6:30-7:30pm on Wednesday, November 7th.
EVFA is hosting a New Moms Breakfast on Thursday, November 8th, from 10am-12pm.
ZUMIX is hosting The Story Loft, a live neighborhood storytelling event, from 7-9pm.
